A post about dual credit and internship students reporting tomorrow was shared based on the planned return date of 1/6, not the weather. Please check GIS social media for official updates on tomorrow's status. Apologies for any confusion!

Parents, starting Monday, you can use the Glasgow Independent Schools, KY app to submit an electronic attendance excuse for your student. Please reach out to your child's school if you have any issues with this new app feature.

This is to inform you that on Jan 8th, your child will participate in a state-mandated suicide prevention curriculum. We have selected the "Depression Education & Suicide Awareness" program, developed by Erika’s Lighthouse. Please see more information here: https://bit.ly/40irS88

The Spanish Club will be set up at lunch for the next two weeks, where they will sell handmade bracelets and purses from artisans in Central America. Bracelets are $5, and purses are $15. You can also buy a bracelet-gram for a friend, and we will deliver them last period. Cash only and exact change is appreciated.

Senior Parents/Guardians,
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is now open after a slight delay. The FAFSA is used to apply for federal, state, and college-based financial aid. In preparation for completion of the FAFSA, students and parents will need to create an FSA ID. If you have already completed a FAFSA in the past and have an FSA ID, you will not need to create a new one. Many students created their FSA ID during College App Day. We are offering two events at GHS to help you and your child complete the next steps. You may stop by during any of the times listed below. Instructions for creating an FSA ID and a list of items needed to complete the FAFSA can be found here.
Wednesday, December 11th FSA ID Creation Help 12pm-3 pm
Tuesday, December 17th FSA ID Creation Help 8 am- 3 pm
Tuesday, January 14th FAFSA Completion Help Day 3pm- 6:30 pm
Wednesday, January 15th FAFSA Completion Help Day 8am-12 pm
